We all know that airport parking is a complete rip-off, as the car-park owner has a complete monopoly with the airport operator in trying to squeeze as much money as possible from travellers.

This deal from Purple Parking seems very tempting – offering 4 day’s worth of parking at Heathrow for £9. They can offer it as they park your car offsite near Heathrow, collecting your car when you depart and giving your car back when you arrive at Heathrow. Purple Parking seems like the ideal solution to expensive Heathrow airport parking charges – but is it really?

Reading through the deal description, Purple Parking boasts about the great reviews on Qype. Average of 4 out of 5 stars – from 96 reviews. So seems good? On closer inspection of the reviews, it seems like the vast majority are from users who have only had one review so far. Highly suspicious… and because of that, I’m not touching them with a bargepole.

It very much seems like the great 5 star reviews on Qype are being left by Purple Parking or someone affiliated with them with a vested interest in making Purple Parking have a high rating.

While at a good price, my recommendation now is to avoid this deal from Purple Parking at all costs, because of the suspicious reviews on Qype.
